The Blazers players and coaches signed several hundred basketballs, posters, pennants, shoes and other items today.
Blazers staff began the set-up of over 20 tables worth of gear to be signed at 7:00am. Players arrived before practice to start signing basketballs and pennants that were to be signed by the whole team.
After practice, each player returned to the tables to sign posters, cards, magazines, trading cards and other gear to be used for charity auctions, presents for children in hospitals and as rewards for good efforts in the community.
Rookie Travis Outlaw was overwhelmed by the whole process. "My hand is killing me and I'm starting to think I signed some things twice," he said. Outlaw was the last player to finish the session, but made sure his signature was clear on every item.
