The Portland Trail Blazers have announced their 2003-2004
television broadcast schedule, televising 74 regular season games. Blazers fans will have a number of opportunities to catch the team in action as KGW, Fox Sports Net, ESPN and ESPN2, TNT, and NBA TV air games throughout the season.
KGW, in its twelfth season as the Blazers flagship station, will broadcast 26 regular season games. KGW will kick off their ’03-’04 season coverage on October 29 when the Blazers take on the Utah Jazz. KGW will also air key match-ups against Western Conference rivals Dallas (Nov. 17 and Feb. 28), the L.A. Lakers (Dec. 13, Feb. 17, and Apr. 14), and Sacramento (Dec. 21, Jan. 20, and Mar. 12).
The Blazers will broadcast 35 regular season games on Fox Sports Net, beginning with the November 1 home opener vs. Cleveland. Also included in Fox Sports Net’s Blazers broadcasts this season will be heavily anticipated contests against New Jersey (Nov. 28 and Dec. 29), Western Conference rival Dallas Mavericks (Dec. 23 and Jan. 17), and the Minnesota Timberwolves (Mar. 10).
The Blazers will make 23 national TV appearances this year. ESPN and ESPN2 will televise 10 games, beginning with the Nov. 5 match-up against Memphis. TNT, carrying 5 Blazers contests, will kick off their ’03-’04 Blazers coverage on November 13 when the Blazers host Sacramento at the Rose Garden. NBA TV will also air 8 Blazers contests.
All Blazers games will be broadcast on
News Radio 750 KXL AM, and along the Blazers’ 21-market satellite radio network.
