Trail Blazers Forward Shareef Abdur-Rahim underwent surgery on his right elbow today to remove loose bodies.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles and was considered a success. Abdur-Rahim is expected to be out indefinitely. Rahim was placed on the injured list on January 7 and has appeared in 23 games this season, averaging 15.7ppg and 8.0rpg, while shooting 50.8% from the field.
The Trail Blazers visit the Wizards tonight and travel to New Orleans tomorrow night for a 5:00pm PT tip-off. The next home game is January 19 when the Trail Blazers host the Cleveland Cavaliers at 7:00pm for the
Hardwood Classics.
