PLAY - Remember when your favorite subject was P.E.? Ours still is.

The annual Trail Blazers Street Jam is an outdoor summer 3-on-3 basketball festival at the Rose Quarter. Attracting thousands of athletes and spectators to the home of the Trail Blazers, the weekend-long event benefits Special Olympics Oregon (SOOR). The team has contributed nearly $150,000 to SOOR over the past four years.

Trail Blazers staff, team personnel and players visit numerous schools and youth organizations each year to grow our game, hosting basketball clinics and camps, and PE classes. The team travels to an average of 24 communities around the state annually, reaches more than 10,000 kids, and contributes over 600 hours of service with an estimated investment over a half of a million dollars.

The JR. NBA / WNBA youth basketball program engages more than 9000 young athletes throughout Oregon and southwest Washington each season. The Trail Blazers visit participating youth basketball leagues, conduct clinics and camps, and host JR. NBA / WNBA game night celebrations throughout the season.

During the off-season each summer, Trail Blazers employees volunteer at local elementary schools, cleaning and renovating playgrounds. Projects include Peninsula, Sitton, Rose way and Hayhurst Elementary Schools in the Portland Public School District.
