How Acquired --- Selected in 1970 NBA Expansion Draft from Phoenix.

Departed --- Traded 10/27/72 to Houston for Greg Smith.

As a Trail Blazer --- One of the original Trail Blazers . . . Very durable---played in all 171 games during his two-plus seasons in Portland . . . Called on to start 59 games and averaged 25.9 minutes in the 171 contests . . . The best seasons of his seven-year NBA career came in Portland where he averaged 13.7 and 13.8 points respectively in the club’s first two years . . . One of the franchise’s all-time best free throw shooters, he made 83.4% of his charity shots, ranking him behind only Kiki Vandeweghe and Terry Porter in career percentage numbers . . . Ironically, he shot just 74.8% from the line with other NBA teams . . . His 83.1% free throw mark was the ninth best in the league in 1971-72 . . . A consistent point producer from his guard position, he scored in double figures in 130 of the 164 games in his first two seasons and tallied 20 or more points 28 times . . . His career best came 11/19/71 when he poured in 31 points in a 118-105 win over Cleveland . . . On 10/27/70, he converted 17 of 19 from the line in a victory over Buffalo . . . It was a team record until Geoff Petrie made 18 in 21 attempts later that season.

After Basketball ---Appeared in 36 games over two seasons with the Rockets after being traded to Houston early in the 1972-73 season . . . Retired from basketball after the 1973-74 season.
