Game Day Hub: Portland at Sacramento

With two games down in the 2015-16 preseason, the Portland Trail Blazers (1-1) hit the road for the first time, heading south to Sacramento for their second clash with the Kings (2-1) on Saturday.

The Trail Blazers enter the game coming off Thursday’s emphatic 118-101 win over the reigning NBA champion Golden State Warriors at Moda Center. Allen Crabbe led the Trail Blazers with 25 points of 9-of-12 shooting off the bench, while Damian Lillard added 22 points in the victory.

Led by Rudy Gay’s 26 points, the Kings ride a 95-92 home win over the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday into Saturday’s meeting.

The two teams met on Monday night in Portland, with Sacramento overcoming a 21-point deficit to top the home side 109-105 after overtime.

The prior meeting should provide Terry Stotts and the Trail Blazers an opportunity to gameplan for Saturday’s game.

Sacramento, having played them once, we will be kind of prepared for what they’re doing,” the head coach said earlier in the week. “I would anticipate against Sacramento, we’ll have a shootaround and kind of talk about some of the things we’ve looked at.”

While the game isn’t televised locally, fans can listen on Rip City 620 or via the Trail Blazers Mobile App presented by Les Schwab.
