REBECCA HAARLOW
Television Sideline Reporter
A newcomer to the Blazers Broadcasting team, Rebecca Haarlow is in her first season as a sideline reporter and feature producer. Before joining the Trail Blazers, Haarlow was a TV host and reporter for Fox Sports Net in Los Angeles. Most recently, she helped launch the Big Ten Network as a college football sideline reporter.
In 2007, she made her national television debut on FSN, traveling to Australia to host the Aussie Millions poker tournament. Haarlow began her broadcasting career in the San Francisco Bay Area, where for three years she worked for Silicon Valley Sports & Entertainment, the San Jose Sharks, and the SAP Open men’s professional tennis tournament. Simultaneously, she covered the Sacramento Kings and co-hosted “Kingswatch” as the sideline reporter for Foothill 7 Television in Sacramento.
Haarlow is a graduate of Princeton University, where she was a first team All-Ivy heptathlete and captain of the track & field team. She earned a degree in history, with a focus in American Studies and the U.S. Civil War. A native of Hinsdale, Ill., the Trail Blazers rookie comes from a family of five. Her parents John and May reside in Hinsdale with the family dogs Jessie and Quincy, while her two brothers, John and Mike, live in Chicago.
