Tuesday’s “Courtside” on 95.5 The Game to be broadcast live

Can lottery lightning strike twice? Trail Blazers fans, stop by the Pyramid Taproom at Schonely’s Place in the Rose Garden on Tuesday, May 20, from 4-7:30 p.m. to find out where the Trail Blazers will select in the 2008 NBA Draft.

The 240-seat brew pub on the Rose Garden’s 100-level concourse hosts the official Trail Blazers Draft Lottery Party and a live broadcast of “Courtside” from 4-6 p.m. on 95.5 The Game, the new FM radio home of the Trail Blazers.

Enjoy the Lottery and NBA Playoffs in high definition while Trail Blazers broadcasters Mike Barrett, Mike Rice, Brian Wheeler and Antonio Harvey break down the odds and look ahead to the Draft during the live broadcast from the Taproom.

“Come on out, bring your best good luck charm and enjoy a fun night of food and Pyramid with other die-hard Trail Blazers fans,” said Sarah Mensah, Trail Blazers Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

In addition to food/bar service and the Courtside broadcast, fans in attendance will receive 30 percent off select Trail Blazers merchandise, enjoy free parking in the Garden Garage and be eligible to win Trail Blazers prizes, including a prize for the best good luck charm.

The Trail Blazers will be represented at the NBA Draft Lottery in Secaucus, N.J. by President Larry Miller and General Manager Kevin Pritchard. The team is expected to select 13th in the upcoming draft, but has an approximately 2.2 percent chance of jumping into the top three and a 1.8 percent chance of dropping to 14th.

The NBA Draft will be held on June 26 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. In addition to a first-round selection, the Blazers possess three selections (#33, #36, #55 overall) in the second round.

  • Portland’s Trail Blazers have a .6 percent chance of winning the #1 pick in the first round of the 2008 NBA Draft Lottery. Portland will likely pick 13th – one spot higher than the Golden State Warriors – during the lottery. Portland has a 96% chance of picking 13th.
