Trail Blazers Players Give Back During The Holiday Season
The Portland Trail Blazers players got into the Christmas spirit over the last few weeks in attempts to help make the holidays a little brighter for those less fortunate in the Greater Portland Area.
Will Barton hosted a fun assembly at Rosa Parks Elementary School which culminated in a generous donation of funds embarked towards buying new physical education equipment for the school.
Damian Lillard surprised a group of 30 children from the Trail Blazers Boys and Girls Club with a $100 gift card each to shop at a Portland area Toys 'R Us.
The entire Trail Blazers team visited St. Mary's Home for Boys. There the players led the St. Mary's Kids in some shooting drills and spent time getting to know the boys over some holiday cookies.

Nicolas Batum hosted over 400 youngsters at the Charles Jordan Community Center. The even came complete with shooting competitions, autographs and presents for all who attended.
Dorell Wright partnered with Big Brothers/Big Sisters Columbisa Northwest whith his D Wright Way Holiday "Adopt a Family" event at the Trail Blazers practice facility. Families got to shoot around on the team's practice court, had a festive holiday dinner and received a gift wish list item.
Thomas Robinson visited the Dougy Center in SE Portland to speak with those families who recently experienced loss. Thomas shared his personal story, handed out apparel courtesy of Nike, handed out tickets plus signed autographs.
These and many other ways are just a small example of how the Trail Blazers players give back to their community.
