For the fifth consecutive year, Damon Stoudamire distributed Thanksgiving baskets, with all of the trimmings to 200 families chosen by the North Portland Nurse Practitioners Clinic.
Damon was on hand at Design Masters Remodeling, 4114 NE Vancouver Avenue, Portland to meet and greet families and distribute their meals.
"It's very important to me that I help those in need in my hometown. This city and the people here have been very good to me over the years and I want to make sure that I help them," said Stoudamire.
Stoudamire delivered baskets, met with families and even did his own rendition of the Cancan with members of the staff.
The North Portland Nurse Practitioners Clinic develops and maintains comprehensive pediatric health care for people of diverse cultural groups who have historically not had access to medical services. Primary services are provided to patients from birth to 21 years of age.
The Damon Stoudamire Foundation continues to serve the community year round through Damon's annual holiday shopping spree for 50 underprivileged youth and by sponsoring projects like the "Books Before Baskets" school supply drive, Biggies Kids Fair, a blood drive for the Portland Chapter of the American Red Cross and an annual Celebrity Bowling Tournament, among others.
