The Trail Blazers employee volunteer program is partnering with Schoolhouse Supplies to help two local elementary schools get ready for the upcoming school year.
Trail Blazers Zach Randolph and Damon Stoudamire have adopted two schools this year. Randolph is supporting Rigler Elementary and Stoudamire has adopted Woodlawn Elementary.
Trail Blazers employees, through the
Blazers Community Builders program (BCB) will be packing backpacks for the two elementary schools at the Schoolhouse Supplies headquarters, located at Madison High School. Rigler Elementary School will receive their backpacks on Monday, August 30 and Woodlawn Elementary School will receive their backpacks on Tuesday, September 7.
The Schoolhouse Supplies Tools for Schools program targets schools where 75
percent of students are eligible for federally funded school lunch programs.
Every student in the “adopted” elementary schools receive a backpack filled
with school supplies on their first day of school. The Tools for School program
is about showing students that the community supports them and wants to help
them succeed and learn.
