Ratliff Presents Dunks for Doernbecher
August 11, 2004
Trail Blazers center Theo Ratliff presented a check to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in the amount $13,350 on behalf of Northwest Ford Stores and the 2003-2004 Dunks for Doernbecher campaign today.
As part of it’s Dunks for Doernbecher partnership with the Trail Blazers, Northwest Ford Stores donates $50 to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital for every dunk Ratliff and his teammates make during the regular season.
Now in it’s fifth year with this partnership, Doernbecher has received nearly $44,000 from the Northwest Ford Stores as a result of this program.
The presentation took place in the courtyard of the hospital and allowed Ratliff time to visit and talk with some of the children currently under Doernbecher’s care.
Doernbecher Children’s Hospital cares for children from all over Oregon and five surrounding states, regardless of the family’s ability to pay.
Doernbecher offers the widest range of pediatric services in the state, including the treatment of cancer, heart and kidney disease, cystic fibrosis, organ transplantation, trauma and primary care.
