Oregon Childrens Theatre Presents HOLES!

September 24

The Blazers and Oregon Children’s Theatre (OCT) have partnered to implement a program supporting Oregon middle schools, and to promote literacy and the presence of arts learning in schools during these fiscally challenging times.

The focus of the program is OCT’s production of Louis Sachar’s HOLES!, a Newbery-award winning book that the theatre will mount in its Oregon premiere at Portland Center for the Performing Arts’ Newmark Theatre in October. The play will be performed in 10 weekday performances for school groups, and on 2 weekends for family audiences.

HOLES! is a story centered on Stanley Yelnats, a young man wrongly accused of stealing a pair of autographed athletic shoes.

The show plays two weekends only and tickets are going fast! You've read the book and seen the movie, now don't miss out on this chance to see the live stage version of Stanley Yelnats and his attempt to break the curse brought on by his "no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather".

“This story is incredibly popular right now. Kids have read the book, they’ve seen the movie and now they want to see the live play,” said OCT Artistic Director, Stan Foote. “Our school performances have already sold out and our waiting list for school shows exceeds 7,000 tickets!”

Tickets are available at 503-228-9571 or through TicketMaster by calling 503-790-ARTS or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
