Dale Davis Hosts Food Delivery

Dale Davis hosted his first annual Christmas Food Delivery at University Park Community Center in North Portland on December 22.

To start the food drive off, Davis personally donated one hundred food baskets including frozen turkeys, stuffing, greens, cranberry sauce, and the usual fixings.
In addition to Dale, teammates Jeff McInnis, Zach Randolph and Qyntel Woods attended the event.
The festive afternoon was filled with fun activites including a free throw contest and autographs. A special appearance was made by Blaze who provided lots of laughs for kids and adults alike.
The event also served as the holiday party for the University Park Community Center including games, prizes and gift delivery. Davis pulled numbers from a hat to present hundreds of gifts to the kids in attendance.
In addition, not one, but two Santas made an appearance. To the delight of the kids, Santa proved to pretty good at free throws.
"It's so gratifying to see the delighted faces on these kids and their families when they are handed the gift baskets, said University Park director, Lee Jenkins. "That's what the holiday season is all about, giving and sharing".
University Park Community Center serves hundreds of families each year through recreational programming, mentoring and after school activities.
