After practice, a group of team members including Chris Dudley, Ruben Boumtje-Boumtje, and Charles Smith delivered 400 cases of ham to the Oregon Food Bank in time for the holiday season. The players and coaching staff purchased the hams from Fletcher’s Fine Foods, who provided them below cost to help out those in need during the holidays. Oregon recently lead the nation for number of individuals going hungry.
"This provides us an opportunity to partner with the Blazers and make a difference in the lives of people in the Portland community,” said Dan Timmerman, Director of Sales and Marketing for Fletcher’s Fine Foods. “The holidays are a time to count our blessings and we're happy to help out.”

Dale Davis surprised an entire classroom of Albina Head Start students with gifts for the holidays, including toys and clothes.
After making sure each child received their gifts, Davis sat down on the floor to help unwrap and play.
He assisted in breaking in the new trucks, coloring books and dolls with each child. He also helped them put on their new coats and sweatshirts to help keep them warm through the winter. Before leaving, Davis treated the class to juice and cookies.
Maurice Cheeks and the rest of the coaching staff delivered gifts to other classrooms earlier in the day.
Santa Stoudamire Visits Classroom
Damon Stoudamire made his annual trip to a classroom of Albina Head Start kids with toys and clothing for each child. Stoudamire recently donated $250,000 to help the Portland Public Schools save spring sports, reserving $50,000 of that donation to help teachers and educators.
Kids at the school, along with their families sang songs and drew pictures while they eagerly awaited a visit from Santa Damon. When Stoudamire walked in, the kids clapped and cheered.
Stoudamire passed out gifts to each child individually and then helped them open gifts after everyone had received their packages.
After helping them unwrap and put together some of the toys, Stoudamire was treated to a chorus of songs and many thank you's from the kids and their families.
