Blazers Holiday Book Drive

Blazers national Read to Achieve ambassador Dale Davis hosted a holiday book drive.
Dale visited Borders in Tigard on today to sign autographs for everyone that contributed a book to the NBA “Gift of Giving” Holiday Book Drive.
The more than 200 books collected will benefit students participating in the SMART (Start Making a Reading Today) program.
"It was great for these people to come out and donate books. There are many kids out there who need more of an education and reading is where it all starts," said Davis.
"If I can spend a couple of hours chatting with fans and it helps ensure that kids have books to read, it's a great combination. I get to meet with people who love our team and help kids. It can't get any better than that," said Davis.
