The Blazers Community Builders (BCB) program, entering its seventh season, is dedicated to providing our employees with opportunities to serve organizations and individuals in need throughout our community. The Trail Blazers employee volunteer program has dedicated thousands of hours to local non-profits and also provides employees time-off to serve. During the off-season, teams of Blazers employees set out once a week (monthly during the season) to participate in community service projects dedicated to revitalizing north and northeast Portland neighborhoods. Completed BCB projects range from painting a mural on the outside of a youth center and clearing a lot for a new Head Start classroom to packing food boxes and painting the homes of senior citizens. Blazers Community Builders efforts are also focused on promoting the need for and value of volunteerism to all ages.
