Senior Vice President of Legal & Business Affairs, Ben Lauritsen enters his eighth season with the Trail Blazers in 2016-17. In his general counsel role, he advises the Trail Blazers and the Rose Quarter in business negotiations, disputes, compliance and strategy. He also oversees the team’s social responsibility platform and serves as Board President of the Trail Blazers Foundation. Prior to joining the Trail Blazers, Lauritsen worked as a corporate attorney at Stoel Rives LLP in Portland and at Latham & Watkins LLP in London. Lauritsen graduated from the University of Chicago Law School in 2004 and spent a year as a judicial clerk for Judge David G. Campbell in the U.S. District of Arizona following graduation. Lauritsen serves on the board for Girls Inc. of the Pacific Northwest. He is a frequent contributor to sports and entertainment law classes, panels and conferences. Ben currently resides in Southwest Portland with his wife and three children.
