QUOTE OF THE NIGHT
Zydrunas Ilgauskas "We have LeBron on our team, and there are 30 other teams or 29 who don't, and that's the biggest difference."

-- Cavaliers center Zydrunas Ilgauskas after Cleveland won Game 6 on Friday to eliminate the Wizards on their home floor for the third straight season.
NBA.COM'S FANTASY TAKE
Richard Hamilton It’s high time to give Richard Hamilton some love in our Drive to Finals spot. All Rip has done of late is drop back-to-back 20-point performances against the Sixers as the Pistons eliminated Philly in six games. Next up for the Motor City Madmen is Dwight Howard and the Magic. We like Rip, who averaged 19.7 points a game against Philadelphia, to continue his red-hot ways against Orlando in Game 1 on Saturday.

STAT SHEET STUFFER
LeBron James LeBron James hit back hard against the Wizards in Friday’s Game 6. King James delivered the final blow with his third career playoff triple-double, posting 27 points, 13 rebounds and 13 assists as the Cavs eliminated the Wiz in the first round of the playoffs on Washington’s home court for the third straight year. It was a fitting end for James, who endured numerous hard fouls throughout the gruesome series.

GONNA FLY NOW: HAWKS FORCE GAME 7
Joe Johnson Do you believe in miracles? ... Well, it may be a little too premature for that, but Hawks’ fans certainly believe in their team. Can you blame them? Atlanta is now one win away from shocking the basketball world after Friday’s stunning win over Boston that evened their first-round series at 3-3. A decisive Game 7, the most exciting event in sports, will take place 1 p.m. ET Sunday in Boston. Joe Johnson, who was brilliant with 21 points in Game 5 on Wednesday, struggled in this one but managed to sink a crucial 3-pointer with 1:07 remaining as the Hawks produced another strong fourth-quarter effort. Josh Childress also played a big role in the win, posting 15 points and six rebounds off the bench. Atlanta is attempting to avenge a playoff loss to Boston in the 1988 Eastern Conference semifinals. The Dominque Wilkins-led Hawks lost that series in seven games, the last time Atlanta played in a Game 7.
CAVALIERS SILENCE WIZARDS ONCE AND FOR ALL
Cavaliers The silence is deafening in Washington as the Wizards went out with not so much as a whimper in Game 6. Too much LeBron James as the King went off for a triple-double as the Cavaliers sent the Wizards packing in the first round for the third straight year with a season-ending loss on their home floor. For all of the bad blood in this series, Game 6 proved to be a dud. Cleveland built an eight-point halftime lead and Washington never really threatened in the second half, as LeBron scored 17 over the final two quarters. These teams really don’t like each other. For further proof, check out these final numbers: 13 technical fouls, one ejection, one suspension and numerous hard fouls. Darius Songaila was suspended for Game 6 after an altercation with LeBron early in Game 5. Credit James for keeping his composure throughout the series.
SIXTH MAN OF THE NIGHT
Josh Childress Josh Childress gave the Hawks another lift off the pine in Game 6, scoring 15 points and grabbing six rebounds in a thrilling victory for Atlanta. What doesn’t show in the boxscore is the energy that Childress gave his team in this one, especially down the stretch. Childress drove for layup to put his team up six with 4:44 left and grabbed some key rebounds in the final minutes. If the Hawks do go on and win this series, and what a great story that would be, a lot of credit should go to Childress who has provided a big lift off the bench.
ROOKIE WATCH
Al Horford Al Horford keeps getting better and better with each game. Game 6 was no exception as he posted 16 points, five rebounds, four assists and three blocks as the Hawks evened the series with the Celtics. Earlier this week, Atlanta coach Mike Woodson called it a “travesty” when Horford was not selected as this season’s Rookie of the Year. Instead, that honor went to Seattle’s Kevin Durant. … Luis Scola finished with 15 points and nine rebounds, but his Rockets exited the postseason with a 113-91 loss to the Jazz in Game 6 of their series.
COOL/CLUTCH PERFORMANCE
Deron Williams MVP! MVP! The Jazz fans love to serenade their point guard with that chant. Deron Williams did not disappoint in Game 6 as he dropped 25 points, nine assists and six rebounds on the Rockets as Utah advanced to the Western Conference Semifinals with an impressive 113-91 victory at home on Friday. Williams scored 13 of his 25 in what proved to be a decisive third quarter as the Jazz outscored the Rockets 27-11 after leading by four at the half. Utah is now headed to Los Angeles to take on another MVP candidate in Kobe Bryant.
