QUOTE OF THE NIGHT
Sam Cassell "It's just a matter of time for me to be real comfortable. I'm comfortable right now, but I'm not where I want to be right now. Three or four more games and I should be fine."

-- Celtics’ guard Sam Cassell after his third game with the C's.
NBA.COM'S FANTASY TAKE
Devin Harris While Jason Kidd is still searching for his first triple-double in his return to the Mavericks, his replacement in New Jersey is banging on the door. Devin Harris is still finding his way in the offense, while the team struggles to find a rhythm with its new configuration. Harris, however, posted his first double-digit assist night for the Nets against the Jazz on Saturday, falling just two rebounds shy of the triple-double. The young point guard totaled 19 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds in the win over Utah. Fantasy Index.

MAGIC LOCK UP PLAYOFF SPOT
Hedo_Turkoglu The Magic became the third team in the NBA to clinch a playoff spot on Saturday with a 122-111 home win over the Pacers, but a sloppy offensive effort almost spoiled a terrific shooting night for Orlando. The Magic shot a blistering 67 percent from the field in the first half, building up an 18-point second quarter lead, but the Pacers capitalized on mistakes to claw back into the contest, trailing by just two points with nine minutes remaining in the game. Hedo Turkoglu led all players in the game with 27 points to go with six assists. Dwight Howard earned his league-leading 59th double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds, but also led the Magic with seven of the team’s 22 turnovers. Keith Bogans added 11 points off the bench on 4-of-6 shooting including a perfect 3-of-3 from behind the arc. Orlando is currently third in the Eastern Conference with a 9.5 game lead over the Wizards in the Southeast Division.
SIXERS ROLL THROUGH DEFENDING CHAMPS
Andre Miller The Sixers continued their roll toward what appears to be a trip to the playoffs on Saturday. With the defending champion San Antonio Spurs in town, Philadelphia hustled its way to another victory. The young Sixers have won seven of their last eight games and are 17-6 since Jan. 26. Veteran point guard Andre Miller led the way with 32 points on 11-of-14 shooting, including 10-of-11 from the free throw line. Miller outshined fellow point guard Tony Parker who also had a stellar night in the 103-96 road loss. Parker totaled 27 points on 12-of-16 shooting to go with five assists. Sixers coach Maurice Cheeks has an eye on Washington and the sixth playoff position, but a clutch late-game performance by Antawn Jamison helped the Wizards secure an overtime win. The playoff resurgence comes as Philadelphia plans to host Allen Iverson on Wednesday -- the former MVP’s first trip back to Philadelphia since he was traded in 2006.
SIXTH MAN OF THE NIGHT
Gordan Giricek The outcome of the Suns win over the Kings in Phoenix on Saturday was not in doubt for long as Phoenix built a 31-point halftime lead. Gordan Giricek soaked up the extra playing time and dumped in 23 points off the bench, including four three-pointers. Giricek scored 12 of his points during the Suns’ 42-point second quarter outburst. The Croatian guard also added five rebounds and five assists.
ROOKIE WATCH
Juan Carlos Navarro Juan Carlos Navarro didn’t see much action on Saturday, but he made every minute count in the Grizzlies 110-107 loss to the Warriors. Navarro scored 20 points on 6-of-11 shooting, 3-of-5 from downtown, in just under 13 minutes of action. The 27-year-old rookie led the way during Memphis’ attempted comeback with 13 of the Grizzlies 41 fourth-quarter points. He also added two rebounds and two assists.
D-LEAGUE STAR OF THE NIGHT
Randy Livingston There is a simple recipe to success in the D-League: pick up Randy Livingston. In a league dominated by the association’s still developing talent, Livingston provides consistent leadership on the court, which is evident in the Stampede’s league-best 29-10 record. Livingston’s 22 points and seven assists on Saturday helped Idaho continue rolling in a 93-88 win after Lance Allred was called up to the Cavaliers.
