QUOTE OF THE NIGHT
Allen Iverson "I've been in the league 12 years and I've been playing a long time. I don't know if we've been this hot before, but it was pretty special."
-- Allen Iverson, following his team scoring a league season-high 138 points in Denver's thrashing of Seattle.
NBA.COM'S FANTASY TAKE
Brandon Roy All-Star Brandon Roy missed his second straight game on Wednesday with a sprained right ankle that he suffered on Sunday at home against Boston. If Roy isn’t able to get back to full strength in upcoming games, expect Travis Outlaw and Martell Webster, who combined for 25 points in Portland’s win over the host Clippers, to fill up the stat sheets. Consider this when adjusting your rosters. For more wisdom, check out NBA.com's Fantasy Index.

STAT SHEET STUFFER
Mehmet Okur The Jazz just love the rhythm of the beat in Utah. So much so that they managed to overcome an 18-point deficit on Wednesday to notch their 15th straight triumph at home and sixth straight overall against the Pistons. Detroit was forced to hear the cadence of Mehmet Okur, who hit three treys in the final two minutes and finished with 24 points, seven rebounds, four assists and a blocked shot.

LEBRON REACHES SUPER MILESTONE
Kevin GarnettLeBron James There are 10,000 reasons why LeBron James is an MVP candidate this season and one of the most entertaining athletes of today’s generation. He is as thrilling as Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” music video and as compelling as our grandparents’ stories of ‘the old days’. The 23-year-old sensation reached another milestone on Wednesday – becoming the youngest player in NBA history to surpass 10,000 career points. It only took ‘The King’ 368 games to accomplish the feat – ninth quickest ever. Although Cleveland was unable to overcome Boston, which notched its sixth straight home triumph, LeBron managed to return from a sprained right ankle he suffered in the second quarter and racked up a game-high 26 points, while grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out four assists. For the Eastern Conference-leading Celtics, on the other hand, Ray Allen posted 22 points and Kevin Garnett added 18 points and 11 rebounds.
IT'S LIKE A STORYTALE ADVENTURE
Steve NashChris Paul Watching Steve Nash and Chris Paul on the same floor at the same time is as exhilarating as plunging down a wicked rollercoaster at a theme park. If that’s not invigorating enough for you, add Amare Stoudemire, Tyson Chandler and Shaquille O’Neal to the court and maybe you wouldn’t mind waiting on the two-hour line for the experience. In what has been a stirring showdown all season between these two high-octane squads, the Hornets racked up 38 points in the third quarter to pull away from the Suns in Wednesday’s triumph. Paul, who currently ranks third in the latest Race to the MVP player rankings, tallied 25 points and 15 assists, while David West scored 27 and Chandler grabbed 15 rebounds. New Orleans won all four meetings against Phoenix this season in what could be a great playoff series if they were to meet in the postseason. Only time will determine what will happen.
COOL/CLUTCH PERFORMANCE
Mike Bibby How satirical is it that on the same night he debuted in front of the Atlanta crowd, Mike Bibby played against the team that dealt him away days before the trade deadline? There is a saying around the NBA that players love to display their ‘A+’ game against former squads. Bibby is surely no different. The man who spent more than six marvelous seasons in Sacramento posted an impressive 24 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the floor and dished out 12 assists in the Hawks’ triumph over the Kings.
SIXTH MAN OF THE NIGHT
T.J. Ford If there is one player everyone should be rooting for the remainder of the season, it’s T.J. Ford. After nearly being forced to retire from the game due to a spinal cord injury in 2004 and a severe neck injury earlier this season, the former Texas Longhorn is back and playing effectively for the Raptors. In fact, Ford, who says he is satisfied to be Jose Calderon’s backup, recorded 16 points and three assists in Toronto’s eighth straight triumph over Minnesota on Wednesday.
D-LEAGUE STAR OF THE NIGHT
Carlos Powell It was a good night to flaunt the last name Powell on Wednesday. In fact, Carlos and Kasib Powell each put on a show in Dakota for their respective teams. They even almost put up the same exact stats. Carlos, in a winning effort, recorded 31 points on 10-of-18 shooting from the field, hit three treys and grabbed six rebounds. Kasib, meanwhile for the Skyforce, posted 28 points on 10-of-19 shooting from the floor, also nailed three from long range and pulled down five boards.
