QUOTE OF THE NIGHT
"Tonight we're looking at what's probably going to be the deepest draft in a couple of decades."
-- NBA Commissioner David Stern prior to the 2007 Draft Lottery. The Trail Blazers moved up from sixth to No. 1 and will have their pick of all the top prospects on June 28.
NBA.COM'S FANTASY TAKE
The NBA has a day off on Wednesday, so your next opportunity to play Drive to the Finals will be for Thursday's Cavaliers-Pistons Game 2. Zydrunas Ilgauskas had a huge Game 1 with 22 points and 13 rebounds, and probably won't be able to duplicate that production. But with Detroit keying its defense on LeBron James, Big Z should have a chance to shine.

STAT SHEET STUFFER
On the night when the next great NBA big man might have found out where he's heading, the last superstar center prospect showed a glimpse of what that could mean. Tim Duncan, 1997's top pick, had 26 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, five blocked shots and two steals as San Antonio grabbed a 2-0 series lead over Utah with a 105-96 win. Will Greg Oden be doing the same for Portland a decade from now?

SAME THING, DIFFERENT DAY
If you tuned in to Tuesday's Jazz-Spurs Game 2 and thought you had mistakenly stumbled upon the rebroadcast of Sunday's Game 1, you're not alone. The teams again played the first quarter fairly evenly before San Antonio outscored Utah by 15 in the second period. In this episode, the Spurs led by as many as 22 and never trailed in a 105-96 win. San Antonio again had five players in double figures, and Tim Duncan again led the way (26 instead of 27 points), while Carlos Boozer replaced Deron Williams as the leading scorer for the Jazz with 33. Utah, which went 31-10 at home during the regular season and has gone 6-0 there during the playoffs, will look to flip the script in Saturday's Game 3.
WHEN IT RAINS, IT POURS
Tuesday was a good day to be an NBA fan from the Pacific Northwest. Despite having only a 5.3 percent chance of winning the 2007 Draft Lottery, the Trail Blazers moved up from No. 6 to claim the top selection in what is expected to be a loaded class. Greg Oden, a 7-foot Ohio State freshman who is the consensus top prospect, could be teammates with Brandon Roy, the 2006-07 Rookie of the Year and Portland's lottery representative. Meanwhile, the nearby Sonics jumped from the fifth slot to second, and might be adding Kevin Durant to the fold. The Hawks secured the third and 11th picks, the Grizzlies -- who had the best odds of finishing No. 1 -- will draft fourth, and the Celtics will pick fifth.
