QUOTE OF THE NIGHT
"I do not feel good about this. I am not at the playoff level yet.''

-- Houston's Yao Ming said despite scoring 22 points and grabbing seven rebounds as the Rockets secured a playoff berth with a 106-87 triumph over Milwaukee on Monday.
NBA.COM'S FANTASY TAKE
Coming off a 27-point performance in a loss to Sacramento on Sunday night, Leandro Barbosa posted just 12 points in Monday's 105-87 home win over the Memphis Grizzlies. But don't let that discourage you from picking up the Sixth Man of the Year candidate. Expect increased minutes and bigger numbers from Barbosa as starter Steve Nash rests for the playoffs.

MOTOR CITY MIRACLE
Fresh off a one-game suspension, the Pistons' Rasheed Wallace made arguably the shot of the season. Down by three with 1.5 seconds remaining and the ball deep in Pistons territory, Wallace picked up a poor inbounds pass from Denver's Marcus Camby and banked in a 60-foot desperation 3-pointer as time expired to force overtime. Wallace went on to score eight of his 22 in the extra period, and the Pistons outlasted the Nuggets, 113-109, at home on Monday. Chauncey Billups led Detroit, which played with starters Chris Webber and Richard Hamilton out with flu-like symptoms, with 34 points and 10 assists, and Antonio McDyess added 20 points and 11 rebounds off the bench. Camby finished with 24 points and 13 rebounds, while Nene scored 21 and pulled in a career-high 17 boards. - Watch 'Sheed's Shot
NEW LEADERS IN THE SOUTHEAST
Shaquille O'Neal has always said that constantly sending him to the free throw line isn't a recipe for success. Apparently Atlanta Hawks coach Mike Woodson never got the memo. The Hawks put Shaq on the line a season-high 20 times and the Heat big man converted on 12, also a season best, en route to 22 points in a 106-89 home victory over the Hawks on Monday. Shaq passed Reggie Miller for 12th on the NBA's career list with his 11th point midway through the first half as the Heat moved ahead of the Washington Wizards, who dropped a 103-97 decision in Utah, for their first Southeast Division lead of the season. The Wizards' Gilbert Arenas' 32 points were overshadowed by Carlos Boozer's career-high 41 points and 16 rebounds in the loss.
COOL/CLUTCH PERFORMANCE
Jameer Nelson hit the tying and go-ahead 3-pointers in the final 1:06 remaining to help the Magic deliver the Knicks their season-high fourth consecutive loss in a 94-89 win in New York on Monday. Nelson and Hedo Turkoglu scored 18 apiece, and Dwight Howard added 10 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks, including a key rejection in the closing seconds. Orlando moved ahead of New Jersey for seventh in the Eastern Conference with the win, while New York dropped two games below the Nets for the eighth and final spot.
SIXTH MAN OF THE NIGHT
The San Antonio Spurs appear ready for the playoffs and have a deep enough bench to make a serious run to The Finals. On Monday night, behind Michael Finley's season-high-tying 20 points on 9-of-12 shooting off the bench, the Spurs cruised by the Golden State Warriors, 126-89, for their 17th victory in 19 games and 50th of the season. Fellow reserve Manu Ginobili shot 5-for-7 from the field, including three 3-pointers, for 17 points and grabbed six rebounds, while rookie James White scored nine points in the first action of his young career.
