"It's great, I guess. I'll have a piece of cake somewhere tonight.''

RICK KAMLA'S FANTASY TAKE
Utah expects to be without injured starting forwards Andrei Kirilenko and Carlos Boozer Monday night when it hosts New Jersey. Paul Millsap and Ronnie Brewer are expected to start, so look for big numbers from the rookie duo. Millsap posted 15 points and a season-high 17 rebounds in 35 minutes while filling in for Boozer on Saturday.

JAMES: "THEY'RE UNBEATABLE''
With a 115-100 victory over the Cavaliers on Sunday, the Suns extended their winning streak to 17 and continue towards the Lakers' record of 33 straight wins in 1971-72. Phoenix is just three wins away from matching the second-best streak set by the 1970-71 Milwaukee Bucks, but Steve Nash and Co. are focused on the bigger picture. "People don't talk about the 33-game streak, they talk about who won the championship that year," Nash said of the '71-'72 championship Lakers team. "I don't feel unbeatable. We've got a lot of improving to do." Nash continued his MVP-caliber play by posting 23 points and 15 assists to pace the Suns, while Shawn Marion scored 23 and Amare Stoudemire added 22. "We just have the swagger," Marion said. "I don't think it's the streak. This is more about us and the thought that we can't lose. We've got 17. Now we have to focus on getting the next one." The Cavaliers' LeBron James, who missed his first game of the season on Friday with an injured toe, tallied a game-high 30 points and nine rebounds, while Drew Gooden finished with 19 points and 14 boards.
FINLEY STEPS UP
Despite shooting a season-low 33.7 percent from the field, the San Antonio Spurs hit two consecutive shots in the final 21 seconds to beat the Los Angeles Lakers, 96-94, in an overtime thriller on Sunday afternoon. Trailing by one after the Lakers' Kobe Bryant drained a 20-foot jumper with seven seconds left, Tim Duncan found Michael Finley for a long 3-pointer with 1.3 on the clock. "It looked like it was going in, but I didn't know until it went in,'' said Finley, who finished with 17 points, including five threes on 10 attempts. "It was just a normal shot for me. We wanted Tim to create for himself, first of all. If he wasn't able to, he was supposed to kick it out to a teammate, as he always does.'' Duncan finished just one assist shy of his his third career triple-double with 21 points, 14 rebounds, and a season-high nine assists. Bryant, who scored six of his game-high 31 points in the extra period, was unable to get open in the final second, forcing Vladimir Radmanovic to take the final shot which missed badly.
LOCKDOWN OF THE NIGHT
Seattle's Ray Allen entered Sunday's meeting with the Los Angeles Clippers as the league's leading scorer for the month of January, averaging 30.8 points in 11 games. But the Clippers found a way to slow Allen and the Sonics, holding the six-time All-Star to just 15 points on 5-of-11 shooting in a 98-76 road win. "(Allen) made (four) free throws and those were the easiest shots he made,'' the Clippers' Sam Cassell said. The Clippers also held the Sonics' Earl Watson to just 1-of-8 shooting, Mickael Gelabale to 1-of-6, Luke Ridnour to 1-of-8, and Damien Wilkins to 1-of-5 as Seattle shot 32.9 percent.
COOL/CLUTCH PERFORMANCE
Milwaukee's Mo WIlliams was so hot in his return Sunday from a nine-game absence after spraining his left shoulder, he made a free throw that he meant to miss with 0.4 seconds remaining, giving New York a chance to tie or possibly win the game. But Jamal Crawford failed to get a shot off in time and the Bucks walked away with a 107-105 home victory. "The way things have been going lately when I made it I thought we were going to overtime,'' Williams said. Williams had 30 points, including a critical jumper with 3.1 seconds left, and 10 assists as the Bucks snapped a six-game skid.
D-LEAGUE STAR OF THE NIGHT
Jose Juan Barea does it again. The Fort Worth Flyers guard, who's on assignment from the Dallas Mavericks, poured in his second 40-plus point game in less than a week, scoring a game-high 41 points on 16-of-23 shooting from the field and 2-of-4 from 3-point range to lead the Flyers to a 120-113 win over the Dakota Wizards on Sunday. On Thursday, Barea scored a league season-high 43 points on 18-of-24 shooting from the floor in a loss to the Idaho Stampede.
