RICK KAMLA'S FANTASY TAKE
"Michael Redd went off for 45 points on Tuesday night, outscoring Kobe Bryant by 18 points. Redd, who is averaging 30.4 points (third best in the NBA), is the seventh-ranked player in eight-cat leagues. Those who took Redd in the third round of their draft are a) giggling, and b) atop the standings."
QUOTE OF THE NIGHT
"My teammates are finding me in the flow, (and I'm) getting hacked and going to the foul line and just making shots."
-- Washington's Caron Butler, who shot just 3-for-10 from the floor but made all 15 of his free-throw attempts for a team-high 21 points in a 96-95 win over the Hawks and has now made 32 straight from the charity stripe.

STAT SHEET STUFFER
Jermaine O'Neal had a big game back where it all began. Portland's first-round pick a decade ago, O'Neal shot 8-for-13 for 20 points and added eight rebounds, six assists, five blocks and a steal as his Pacers grabbed a 105-97 win, their sixth straight over the Blazers, who got 30 points and 11 rebounds from Zach Randolph. The five blocks give J.O. 48 this year, tied for first in the NBA with Emeka Okafor.

THE CHOICE OF A NEW GENERATION
With Tuesday's 108-96 victory, the Grizzlies finally became the last NBA team to win at Denver's Pepsi Center. Memphis had been 0-7 on the road this season, 2-20 all time in the Mile High City, and had lost 17 straight there dating back to Nov. 1997, two seasons before Celine Dion opened up the current venue with a sold-out show. Mike Miller distributed a career-high 14 assists and Hakim Warrick held his own in a matchup of former Orangemen. He scored 25 points while Carmelo Anthony poured in 37 for his 10th 30-point game in 11 outings.
ONE STREAK ENDS...
The Lakers had won 10 straight games against the Bucks, their longest active streak against any opponent, and had taken 19 of the last 21 games in this series. Combine that with Los Angeles' 8-1 mark at the STAPLES Center and Milwaukee's 2-8 record in its last 10 games, and and things looked bleak for the Bucks. But Michael Redd got hot and carried them home. He scored 45 points on 16-for-30 shooting, including 5-for-9 from beyond the arc, and added eight rebounds, five assists and four steals in Milwaukee's skid-snapping 109-105 road win.
... AND ANOTHER CONTINUES
In an era of resurgence in Los Angeles, one remnant of the struggles of the Clippers' past is the trouble they've had against the Kings, specifically at ARCO Arena. Tuesday's 93-80 win over the Sam Cassell-less Clips gave Sacramento its 14th straight win over L.A. overall and its 17th straight in Northern California. Ron Artest scored a game-high 28 points and Mike Bibby added 19, seven rebounds and 10 assists. Brad Miller, working his way back from injury, had his first double-digit scoring performance of the season with 12 points and eight boards.
ROOKIE WATCH
Andrea Bargnani is creeping his way into the rotation. The No. 1 overall pick played more than 20 minutes for the fifth straight game and has scored in double figures three times in that stretch after failing to do so in his first nine appearances. He scored a season-high 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting, sank two 3-pointers and grabbed four rebounds as the Raptors got their first road win in 15 tries with a 94-77 win at the Hornets. Adam Morrison, the No. 3 pick, scored 22 points for Charlotte on Tuesday.
SIXTH MAN OF THE NIGHT
Primoz Brezec's first start of the season caused a major shakeup for the Bobcats. With everyone else shifted down a spot in the lineup -- Adam Morrison played shooting guard and Raymond Felton came off the bench for the first time this season -- reserve big man Sean May stepped up. He'd scored zero points in 14 minutes over the previous two games, but poured in a career-best 20 and tacked on seven rebounds and five assists in 25 minutes as Charlotte dealt the Nets their sixth straight loss, 96-92.
D-LEAGUE STAR OF THE NIGHT
Dijon Thompson is so new, he can't even get his own name in the box score. Mistaken for released Joe Shipp, it was actually the recently re-acquired Thompson who racked up 25 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists in the Thunderbirds' 94-86 road victory over the Stampede. Thompson spent some of last year with Albuquerque after being designated by the Suns, but is now there of his own accord.
