Nash, Parker, Stojakovic, Bogut and Gasol to Endorse FedEx International Shipping
Five International Players to Provide Assist to FedEx During NBA All-Star 2006
NEW YORK, January 30, 2006
– FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) has signed five international NBA players to promote its international shipping capabilities in a national advertising and marketing campaign titled “Go Around the World with FedEx.”
The players, designated the “FedEx Global Leaders,” consist of reigning MVP and Phoenix Suns guard Steve Nash (Canada), San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker (France), Indiana Pacers forward Peja Stojakovic (Serbia and Montenegro), Milwaukee Bucks forward and this season’s first overall draft pick Andrew Bogut (Australia), and Memphis Grizzlies forward Pau Gasol (Spain).

The players will be used in a variety of advertising and marketing campaigns including a full-page ad in USA Today, a weekly international trivia sweepstakes found on NBA.com/fedex and for an on-line international shipping promotion on NBA.fedex.com. The FedEx Global Leaders selected to participate in the 2006 NBA All-Star Game or other All-Star activities will be joined by other NBA international stars to host basketball clinics for fans at the FedEx Global Village at NBA All-Star Jam Session, the five day NBA All-Star interactive fan festival.
The FedEx Global Village is an interactive basketball, media and cultural area that will consist of an "Around the World Court," a half-court with shooting locations marked by famous international landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower; a newsroom designed for international media events and interviews of the NBA international stars following the daily basketball clinics; five computer kiosks allowing visitors to explore NBA.com/China, Espanol, France, Global and Canada; and five plasma TV's that will display international game coverage from China, Australia, Spain, France and Serbia and Montenegro and will feature head sets with audio calls of the games in the respective languages.

This campaign serves to connect FedEx’s global shipping business and international routes to the NBA’s global popularity and increasing number of international players. Opening night NBA rosters for the 2005-06 season featured a record 82international players from 36 different countries and territories. The 2006 NBA All-Star Game, which will be played in Houston on Sunday, Feb. 19, will be broadcast live on TNT, Rogers Sportsnet, ESPN Radio and audio in several languages on NBA.com (http://nba.com) at 7 p.m. (CST).
