Baron Davis Bounces Derek Fisher in 989 Sports Skills Challenge Final
The Hornets' Baron Davis finished the 989 Sports Skills Challenge course in 31.6 seconds, earning him first place honors in the event's second year. Derek Fisher of the Lakers finished in second place with a time of 37.6 seconds, while Earl Boykins of the Denver Nuggets and the New York Knicks' Stephon Marbury finished in third and fourth place, respectively, after failing to advance to the final round.

Nets' Kidd Wins Inaugural Challenge in Atlanta
Squaring off against Seattle's Gary Payton in the final round, New Jersey point guard Jason Kidd completed the circuit of dribbling, shooting and passing obstacles in 35.1 seconds to win the 989 Sports Skills Challenge debut in Atlanta in 2003.
