NBA All-Star Saturday Night presented by America Online, which will start at 8 p.m., will feature the 989 Sports Skills Challenge, Jeep All-Star Hoop-It-Up, 1 800 CALL ATT Shootout, and Sprite Rising Stars Slam Dunk. This is the first year that America Online will present the entire All-Star Saturday Night line-up.
NBA All-Star Saturday Night presented by America Online will be preceded by the got milk? Rookie Challenge, which will pit a team of the NBA’s top rookies against a team of the league’s best second-year players. The game will air on TNT and ESPN Radio at 4 p.m. Eastern.
The 989 Sports Skills Challenge will feature four NBA players running through a timed obstacle course that will include dribbling, passing and shooting stations. This is the first year this competition will be held.
The Jeep All-Star Hoop-It-Up is a 3-on-3 competition, entering its second year, that will showcase two teams of four players, with each team comprised of one NBA and one WNBA player, one NBA legend and one celebrity. Three players will play, with one substitute who can enter the game during a play stoppage, during an eight-minute running clock. There is no limit to substitutions. Jeep is joining the NBA All-Star Saturday Night line-up for the first time this year.
The 1 800 CALL ATT Shootout will feature six of the NBA’s top long distance shooters in a two-round competition. Six winners from a 1 800 CALL ATT sweepstakes will be represented by the shooters in the competition. The sweepstakes winner whose shooter wins the contest will win $50,000. This will be the tenth year that AT&T will be sponsoring the Shootout.
The Sprite Rising Stars Slam Dunk will showcase four of the league’s youngest high-flyers in a two-round competition. The competition will be open to NBA players who are currently playing in their first three years in the league. With NBA All-Star in Sprite’s hometown of Atlanta, Sprite will be an All-Star Saturday Night event sponsor for the first time.

NBA All-Star 2003 in Atlanta will celebrate the NBA’s rich history by bringing together the league’s brightest stars with an extensive group of the sport’s legends. The NBA will conduct a week of league-driven community relations projects and interactive fan events. NBA All-Star Jam Session, an interactive basketball theme park for fans of all ages, will take place at the World Congress Center from Feb. 6-9. NBA All-Star Saturday will feature five events from the Philips Arena. The NBA All-Star Game will take place on Sunday, February 9 at 8 p.m. and be broadcast live by TNT and ESPN Radio.
