Elton John to Perform Live at All-Star Game
The one-and-only Elton John will perform his classic "Philadelphia Freedom" during introductions of the 2002 All-Stars before the Game's tip-off. Halftime will feature a special performance of a new John song.
LaBelle, Keys, Stone Join Pregame Show
Patti LaBelle will perform the U.S. national anthem and Alicia Keys and Angie Stone will sing "America the Beautiful" before the 2002 NBA All-Star Game. LaBelle, Keys and Stone will perform as part of the pregame show, which includes Elton John.

Jive Recording artist Britney Spears will headline the NBA All-Star Read To Achieve Celebration, a one-of-a-kind television special featuring NBA All-Stars and some of today’s hottest entertainment celebrities, to air on Saturday, February 9th at 11 AM ET. The hour-long show will be simulcast on six different networks – NBC, TNT, BET, Nickelodeon, NBA.com TV in the U.S., and MuchMusic in Canada.

Some of the top names in the entertainment industry are set to both perform and play hoops at this year’s NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by Fleer at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from February 7-10. Celebrities who often sit courtside at NBA games will show off their basketball skills in front of fans on Center Court of Jam Session, the ultimate interactive basketball experience.
