MVP: Adrian Smith, Cincinnati
The MVP Award in the 16th All-Star Game went to Cincinnati Royals guard Adrian Smith, the least heralded of the 20 players. A late addition to the East team, Smith scored 25 points and generally sparked the 137-94 triumph over the West in Cincinnati.
'66 All-Star Game Highlights:
Wilt Chamberlain, once again a Philadelphian, excelled for the East with 21 points. The West's top scorer was Detroit's Eddie Miles with 17 points. The West All-Stars shot a miserable .292 from the field and were outscored by a 63-36 margin in the first half. Poor shooting also allowed the East to tie an All-Star Game record with 95 rebounds in the game.
