PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 4, 2002 -- NBA All-Star 2002 will reach more than 2.5 billion people around the world through NBA Entertainment’s latest television, Internet, film, and digital technologies.

Following is a look at NBA Entertainment’s activities in Philadelphia by the numbers:

  • 750,000,000 households worldwide will be able to tune in to NBA All-Star 2002

  • More than 1,000,000 daily visitors will log on to NBA.com

  • 300,000 feet in film will be shot by NBAE camera crews

  • 15,000 feet of video tape will be shot by NBAE camera crews

  • 8,000 new photographic images will be generated during the week of All-Star 2002

  • 3,000 print and Internet media outlets will receive real-time digital photos from NBA Photos. NBAE Photos will also provide live digital coverage, posting several hundred digital photos to the NBAE Photos Forum for use by the International media, teams and business partners of the NBA.

  • 500 rolls of film will be used by NBAE photographers

  • 210 countries around the world will receive complete television coverage

  • 100 hours of All-Star Coverage will be aired on NBA TV, the league's 24-hour television network

  • 98 percent of NBA broadcasters will take the All-Star Game live via satellite

  • 96 telecasters will broadcast NBA All-Star 2002

  • The NBA All-Star Game will be broadcast in 41 languages, including Cantonese, Norwegian, Maltese and Tagalog

  • 40 camera crews will be on-site to gather elements for NBA TV, NBA and WNBA Promos, international specials, the NBA Store, NBA Special programming and NBA.com's All-Star coverage.

  • 35 international television networks will be on site

  • 32 broadcast cameras to telecast the All-Star Game will be used by NBC

  • 26 NBAE still photographers will be on site

  • 20 video crews will provide coverage of NBA All-Star 2002

  • 18 international television networks will broadcast during All-Star Weekend live with on-site commentary

  • 12 different live audio broadcasts on NBA.com will allow fans around the world to hear the All-Star Game in English, Spanish, French, Hebrew, German, Italian, Greek, Chinese (Mandarin), Portuguese, Serbian, Russian and Macedonian.

  • Seven networks will simulcast the NBA All-Star Read to Achieve Celebration, a one-hour, one of a kind television special, simulcast on seven different networks on February 9. The event is a celebration of reading and a highlight of the NBA's Read to Achieve Program.(NBC, TNT, Nickelodeon, Nick GAS, BET and NBA TV in the U.S. and MuchMusic in Canada)

  • Six international NBA television shows will be on site: Eddy Time (France), Inside NBA (Germany), NBA Dei Di (Hong Kong), NBA Magazine (Japan), NBA Capsulas (Mexico) and NBA Total (Spain).

  • Six HDTV (High-Definition Television) special cameras will be covering this year’s All-Star Game
