What Hardaway Brings to the Knicks
We all know the phrase "like father, like son" and in the Knicks case, they are hoping that "the apple won't fall far from the tree" after drafting Tim Hardaway Jr, who rose to stirring cheers going 24th overall in the NBA draft.
The Knicks have an eye for budding talent - look at Iman Shumpert, Chris Copeland and now they have added a solid piece with Tim Hardaway Jr. He loves the big stage and nothing gets bigger than New York. Hardaway was also brought in due to the uncertain futures of guards Pablo Prigioni and 6th man of the year JR Smith. Hardaway is tall, athletic and can get to the rim. His biggest strengths is that he is a scorer, has a lethal mid range jumper and is an excellent ball handler.
Hardaway averaged 14.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists over a three year stint with Michigan and the Knicks will hope that he brings in the same form which lead the Michigan Wolverines to the NCAA championship game. Check out the video of the Knicks unveiling their newest acquisition.
Let me know if Tim Hardaway Jr is the perfect shooting guard that the New York Knicks need in their rotation. Send through your comments to @CuteKidSlim or @NBA_Africa or like the page on Facebook under NBA Africa.
