Deng, from Wai in South Sudan in his eighth year with the Chicago Bulls, was selected by the NBA coaches as a reserve and will be making his first All-Star appearance. The bench players for the Eastern and Western Conference teams at the 2012 NBA All-Star Game have been selected, as 14 players -- including young stars like Kevin Love and Luol Deng and veterans like Steve Nash and Dirk Nowitzki -- will join forces with the 10 starters for a weekend unlike any other.
