Players To Watch: Jan. 20
It's usually always a good night to consider "Boogie" for your lineups. But especially tonight as his Kings matchup with the defense-less Los Angeles Lakers (10:30 ET, NBA League Pass), who enter with the worst defensive rating in the league (107.7) and the second worst rebound percentage (47.5). In his last matchup with the Lakers two weeks ago, Cousins tallied 29 points on 8-for-12 shooting, 10 rebounds, seven assists and a block for 52.5 FanDuel points in just 32 minutes. Expect similar numbers tonight from the dominant big man who is averaging 31.0 points on 23.0 attempts, 14.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.0 blocks for 53.6 FanDuel points over his last seven games. Nikola Vucevic ($7,500) against the Philadelphia 76ers (7 ET, NBA League Pass) is another good option at center tonight.
Think the Cavaliers might be a little motivated tonight against the Brooklyn Nets (7:30 ET, NBA League Pass)? After suffering the worst home loss of LeBron James' career against the Warriors on Monday, the Cavaliers should provide big performances across the board against a Nets team with the third worst defense in the league since the start of 2016. Irving provides the best value of any of the Cavs' superstar trio and he should have his way against Donald Sloan ($4,400) and Shane Larkin ($4,000). Before the bashing on Monday, Irving averaged 20.3 points, 4.7 assists and 2.7 rebounds for 30.2 FanDuel points in his previous three games.
The versatile forward keeps on chugging along for Boston. Over his last five games, Crowder is averaging 19.4 points on 13.8 attempts, 6.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.2 steals for 33.1 FanDuel points in 34.1 minutes. He is still priced low at $6,700 and faces an okay matchup against the Toronto Raptors tonight (7:30 ET, NBA League Pass). Toronto continues to play great defense with DeMarre Carroll (knee) out. But Crowder has been so consistent over the last month that you wouldn't expect the matchup to affect his totals too much. He's worth a look in what should be an extremely competitive game.
Williams continues to find plenty of shots in the Lakers' offense. Over his last six games, the high-volume scorer is averaging 23.7 points on 16.0 attempts, 3.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists for 32.45 FanDuel points in 32.2 minutes. He should see these numbers rise tonight against the Sacramento Kings (10:30 ET, NBA League Pass), who have the fifth worst defensive rating in the league (105.9) while playing at the fastest pace (101.92). This will likely be the highest scoring game on Wednesday, so look to have at least a couple players from the Lakers and Kings on your rosters tonight.
"Frank The Tank" is starting to live up to his nickname. The Hornets rookie has tallied 20-plus FanDuel points in his last five games with averages of 13.4 points on 10.4 attempts, 6.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists for 23.9 FanDuel points in 26.8 minutes. Don't expect a giant game from Kaminsky against the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight (8 ET, NBA League Pass). But he should be able to hit at least five times the value of his $4,300 salary, especially if the game turns into a blowout in the second half. Ersan Ilyasova ($5,800) against the Houston Rockets (8 ET, NBA League Pass) is another power forward to keep on your radar tonight.
