• In discussing how to defend the ultra-versatile LeBron James, Nets coach Jason Kidd said, "It's a matter of where they place him." Kidd noted that he liked the lineup in Game 2 that featured Mirza Teletovic at the center position. In order to have success with that setup, the Nets will need to rebound the ball better.
• Heat coach Erik Spoelstra was only asked one question in his pregame press conference. In his response, Spoelstra praised Ray Allen's fourth quarter play in Game 2. Allen, who has scored 32 points in his past two games, shot a combined 2-for-17 in two visits to Brooklyn during the regular season.
• The Nets' Deron Williams will attempt to bounce back from the first scoreless game of his postseason career. Williams was consistently frustrated by the Heat's swarming, trapping defense in Game 2.
• Nets center Jason Collins was interviewed outside the team's locker room about Michael Sam being drafted by the St. Louis Rams on Saturday night. Discussing another broken barrier, Collins, the first openly gay player in an American team sport, praised Sam and the NFL.
