Bulls sign Varnado to 10-day contract

DEERFIELD, Ill. (AP) -- The Chicago Bulls have signed forward Jarvis Varnado to a 10-day contract.

The team announced the move on Tuesday.

A second-round draft pick by Miami in 2010, Varnado played overseas for two seasons. He was averaging 14.1 and 11 rebounds in 22 starts for the Iowa Energy of the NBA D-League this season after playing for the Heat, Boston Celtics and D-League's Sioux Falls Skyforce last year.

Chicago's roster is at 13 players.
