CHICAGO (AP) -- Bulls forward Carlos Boozer will not play against the Atlanta Hawks because of a sore right knee.
Boozer started each of Chicago's first 31 games. Coach Tom Thibodeau says an MRI came back negative and the team is hopeful it's not anything serious.
Boozer is averaging 14.7 points and 8.6 rebounds. He was injured during Thursday's 94-82 victory over Boston on Thursday. Thibodeau said Boozer's knee was a little better on Saturday, and the team will evaluate his status on Sunday.
Chicago has been rocked by injuries this season. Taj Gibson and Mike Dunleavy are the only other players to appear in each of the Bulls' first 31 games.
