DALLAS (AP) -- Dallas center Brandan Wright will miss the Mavericks' game Thursday night against the San Antonio Spurs because of an undisclosed illness.
Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said Wright would be out, but starting center Samuel Dalembert would play even though he's fighting the same illness that has been going around Dallas' locker room.
Wright, who missed this season's first 23 games while recovering from a fractured left (shooting) shoulder, averaged 12.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 21 minutes during the previous five games.
Dalembert, who has started 18 times, is averaging 6.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 21 minutes.
