Official release

Nuggets center JaVale McGee will be sidelined indefinitely after X-rays Sunday revealed a stress fracture in his left shin.

McGee has started all five games for Denver this season, averaging 7.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.40 blocks.

With McGee out of the lineup, Nuggets coach Brian Shaw said either J.J. Hickson or Timofey Mozgov will start Monday when Denver plays at Utah.

Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler (hamstring strain) will be a game-time decision against the Jazz. He practiced Sunday but has not played in a game this season.
