Pistons' Villaneuva leaves game

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- Detroit Pistons forward Charlie Villanueva left Tuesday night's preseason game against the Washington Wizards with a sore back. The team said he would not return.

Villanueva, beginning his eighth NBA season, did not score in 3 minutes in the first half.

He averaged 6.8 points and 3.5 rebounds in 69 games last season.
