Rockets' Harden starts despite illness; Lin out

Posted May 1, 2013 10:18 PM

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Rockets All-Star James Harden started in Game 5 against Oklahoma City after leaving the morning shootaround because of flu-like symptoms.

Harden was listed in the starting lineup submitted by coach Kevin McHale on Wednesday night. The Rockets face a 3-1 deficit in the first-round series against Oklahoma City, after winning Game 4 to avoid elimination.

Point guard Jeremy Lin was out for the second straight game because of a bruised chest muscle. The Rockets listed Lin as questionable, but he was not in uniform and instead wearing a suit on the bench.
