Nuggets' Chandler expected to miss next 3 games

Posted Mar 21, 2013 9:30 PM

DENVER (AP) -- The Nuggets will be without forward Wilson Chandler and probably point guard Ty Lawson for their game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night when Denver goes for its 14th straight victory.

Chandler and Lawson were injured in the Nuggets' 114-104 win at Oklahoma City on Tuesday night. Chandler separated his left shoulder and Lawson bruised his right heel.

Coach George Karl said Chandler was out for Thursday night's game at the Pepsi Center and Lawson would suit up but likely wouldn't play.

Chandler said his shoulder felt better Thursday but added that he plans to sit out Denver's next three games and hopes to return March 27 against San Antonio.

Lawson leads the Nuggets with a 16.9-point scoring average. Chandler is averaging 11.8 points and five rebounds.
