ATLANTA (AP) -- The Atlanta Hawks are missing two starters for their game against the surging Los Angeles Lakers.

Forward Josh Smith was out Wednesday night with a sprained left knee, while point guard Jeff Teague couldn't go because of a sprained left ankle. Both were injured the previous night in a loss at Miami.
Teague didn't even attempt to suit up. Smith went out for pregame warmups to test his knee, but found it too sore to play.
Without two key players, the Hawks went with a patchwork lineup: Devin Harris and Dahntay Jones at the guards, Anthony Tolliver and Al Horford at the forwards, and Johan Petro at center.
