PHOENIX (AP) -- The San Antonio Spurs were without point guard Tony Parker against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday night because of a sore right triceps.

Coach Gregg Popovich says Parker probably should not have played in Friday night's overtime loss at Golden State and decided he would definitely sit his star playmaker against the Suns.
San Antonio is at the end of a nine-game road trip and has the best record in the NBA despite the loss to the Warriors.
