Rose says he believes Bulls trying to win title

Posted Feb 21, 2013 8:31 PM

CHICAGO (AP) -- Bulls star Derrick Rose says he believes the organization is trying to win a championship.

Rose, who's recovering from a torn ACL in his left knee, says in a statement that management's goals "have been the same as mine and that is to bring another championship to this city."

His comment comes after older brother Reggie ripped the Bulls, telling ESPNChicago.com they don't have the talent to compete for a championship and that their decision to stand pat before Thursday's trade deadline could be a "big factor" in whether Derrick returns this season from a knee injury.

Reggie Rose, who insisted he was speaking for himself, wondered why the Bulls made no moves when "all roads to the championship lead through Miami."
