Granger practices with starters, could play Wednesday

Posted Feb 13, 2013 8:10 AM

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Pacers forward Danny Granger could make his season debut Wednesday night against Charlotte.

The former All-Star worked out with the starting unit during Tuesday's practice. If he returns Wednesday morning feeling good, coach Frank Vogel told reporters the decision to play will be up to Granger.

Granger has not played this season because of patellar tendinosis in his left knee and has not spoken with reporters since the preseason. He declined to take questions again Tuesday.

He has led the Pacers in scoring each of the previous five seasons. And after a sluggish start, the Pacers have rebounded. They have the third-best record in the Eastern Conference.

Indiana also practiced Wednesday without David West, who was poked in the eye during Monday's overtime loss to Brooklyn.
