Cavs' Irving misses shootaround, questionable vs. Warriors

Posted Jan 29, 2013 2:34 PM

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving missed the morning shootaround because he's sick and is questionable for tonight's game against Golden State.

Irving, who was named an All-Star reserve last week, has been dealing with a lingering bug for several weeks. Cavs coach Byron Scott said he told his young star to stay home Tuesday and get rest. Scott did not know if Irving will be able to play for the Cavs, who will try to extend their season-high winning streak to four games against the Warriors.

Irving averaged a league-best 35.7 points in three wins last week and was named Eastern Conference player of the week on Monday. Irving hit a 3-pointer in the final second on Saturday night to beat Toronto.

Golden State may be without guard Stephen Curry, who injured his ankle in Monday's win over the Raptors.
