NEW YORK (AP) -- The NBA is encouraging fans to live healthy, active lives during its annual "NBA FIT live healthy week."

Running Thursday through Feb. 1, the week features special programs and events in arenas and online to inspire families and kids. Players are wearing specially designed warm-up shirts, headbands and wrist bands, and fans can get fitness tips from players and trainers at www.nba.com/nbafit.
The site also features player workout videos and healthy recipes from celebrity chefs such as chefs such as Rachael Ray and Mario Batali.
