MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Clippers guard Chris Paul won't play Monday night against the Memphis Grizzlies because of a bruised right kneecap.
Paul bumped knees with J.J. Redick on Saturday with 54 seconds left in a 104-101 loss to Orlando. Eric Bledsoe will start for Paul. The Clippers said Monday the guard will be listed day-to-day.
Paul leads the NBA with 386 assists and is second averaging 9.7 assists per game. He also leads the league with 97 steals and averaging 2.62 steals per game. He had a league-high 54 assists in his last four games.
The Grizzlies will be without Rudy Gay, who was excused to attend his grandmother's funeral in Baltimore.
