MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Dwyane Wade is back with the Miami Heat and he doesn't want to dwell on his one-game suspension for flailing his leg and making contact with a Charlotte player.
Wade returned to the team Saturday night after missing Friday night's 109-99 loss at Detroit due to a suspension imposed by the NBA.
"I just want to move on from it," Wade said about an hour before the Heat played the Milwaukee Bucks. "You can't hold on to something like that. Things happen. I followed the rules and stayed away and now I'm back. I'll move on and try to help my team get back on another winning streak."
Wade stayed in his hotel room in Detroit and watched the game on television.
"It's weird watching your own team on TV in a hotel room when you're not injured and you can't play," he said. "I had to do it. I wish we would have won the game, but we didn't."
Wade said he was glad the team was able to play the next night so he didn't feel as though he missed too much time.
"I'm excited to play," he said. "I only got one day off compared to everybody else. I'll take it and hopefully I'll come out tonight and get back in the groove early on like I was before I was out."
Miami coach Eric Spoelstra said the team would count more on Wade against the Bucks since it was playing its second game in two nights.
"Coming off a loss and it's a back-to-back and guys played more minutes than we probably anticipated, we're going to need a spark from him," Spoelstra said.
Wade played college ball at Marquette, located about 10 blocks west of the Bradley Center.
"He's very familiar with this part of the country," Spoelstra said. "So, hopefully he can give us that spark we need."
Spoelstra said he felt Wade would "be thinking more team-oriented tonight. We all felt bad about what happened that he had to miss a game, but now we need him."
Wade said he thought he was playing well before the suspension.
"I was in the flow," he said. "I want to get back into that flow but I' m not going to force it. I'm going to continue to play the way I've been playing."
